We are situated on the Royal Mile, across from the magnificent St. Giles’ Cathedral and the Mercat Cross.
Look for the flags and arches of Edinburgh City Chambers, and we’re right next door.
Waverley Train Station is a 10-minute walk from our attraction. Most train routes to Edinburgh stop at Waverley. Visit Traveline Scotland to plan your trip.
The quickest route is to climb the 100 steps at the foot of Warriston’s Close. From Waverley Bridge, walk to the mini-roundabout. Cross over onto the bottom of Cockburn Street, and look up! You should spot the sign for Warriston’s Close on your right. We’re at the top of the stairs on your left. To avoid the stairs, continue to walk up Cockburn Street until you meet the junction with the Royal Mile. Turn right at the top, and continue until you see our entrance on the right.
Lothian Buses offer excellent services to all parts of the city. If you intend travelling to us by bus, simply choose a service that stops near the high street or bridges.
We’re lucky to have a great cycle network in Edinburgh. Simply follow the signs for the Old Town and High Street to find us. We have cycle racks immediately outside our entrance.
Access to the Royal Mile is limited, but a taxi can drop you off directly outside our front door. There are lots of companies operating in Edinburgh, including Central Taxis and, City Cabs.
Car parking is very limited in Edinburgh’s Old Town. There are a few spaces dotted around, but most are snapped up early. Find out more on Edinburgh City Council’s website.
If you are travelling with an electric vehicle, you can find information about charging stations on Edinburgh City Council’s website. Alternatively, here is a map with the charging stations around The Royal Mile.
