5 Things to do in Edinburgh in May
There is always plenty to see and do in Edinburgh. As the weather improves ahead of summer, May is the perfect time to explore the city. From peaceful spots away from the crowds to special events at The Real Mary King’s Close, there are many exciting things to do in Edinburgh.
Admire the Royal Botanic Garden
Free to enter, the Botanics look wonderful in every season and every visit is a new experience. There are plenty of plants that blossom and release perfume in the Spring. Stroll around the Meadows
Spring is the perfect time to wander around The Meadows. Enjoy the sunshine (when it rarely decides to make an appearance) and see the blossoming trees. It is the perfect place to relax away from the crowds of the city centre.
Explore Dean Village
Only a short walk from the bustling city centre and by the Water of Leith is the picturesque Dean Village. You can see the remains of water mills and the famous Well Court. It is a must-visit if you enjoy art because Dean Village is also home to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and The Dean Gallery.
